What needed to change
False teaching rarely announces itself. It enters churches through bestselling books, viral sermon clips, worship lyrics, and invited speakers — often dressed in Christian language. Most pastors have neither the hours nor the tooling to vet everything that reaches their people, so review happens ad hoc, from memory, or not at all.

How I solved it
Three tools in one platform. Content analysis scores sermons, books, and videos across eight doctrinal dimensions with severity-rated alerts. Worship song analysis grades lyrics on biblical faithfulness, doctrinal clarity, and gospel substance. Speaker vetting builds a twelve-category theological profile — with epistemic confidence scores and an explicit "what cannot be determined" section, so the tool informs discernment rather than fueling accusations. Every finding cites specific textual evidence, because TheoGuard is built to assist pastoral judgment, never replace it.
03 / Build note
How it came together
TheoGuard comes from the same workbench as SermonBuild and the same pastoral instinct: guard the flock. I pastor a church, and I've watched psychological frameworks and secondhand theology slip into reading lists and playlists simply because nobody had time to check. The analysis pipeline runs entirely server-side on Supabase Edge Functions so API keys never touch the client, and each tool's model temperature is tuned to its stakes — speaker vetting runs the coldest. Reports come back in about 60 to 90 seconds, structured so a pastor can walk their elders through the reasoning in plain language.
